Type d:\setup.exe, and select OK. I got a message saying: Windows cannot find 'd:\setup.exe' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file....etc...' The user is setup as an administrator, and I've tried just running the programs by double clicking and also by right clicking and choosing the run as administrator option. I get the exact same results for both. The interesting thing is it seems that there don't seem to be any problems installing programs from CD.

Your other idea about reinstalling Vista clean really doesn't excite me, I have so much on my PC, I just don't feel like reinstalling all those programs since Vista I finally gave up installing and re-installing up to 30 times the MS-mouse software IP6.2 and the fingerprint reader software DPPM_201_ENG.exe.
